What is Verkada Transportation?
Verkada Transportation extends the Command platform to vehicles: ruggedized cameras record inside and outside a bus, van or truck, and a 5G/Wi-Fi gateway connects them to the cloud while capturing GPS and vehicle diagnostics. Fleet and building security live in the same dashboard as your facility cameras.
Do we have to pull the vehicle in to retrieve footage?
No. Cameras store footage on board and the KGX61 gateway streams it over 5G or Wi-Fi, so an incident on a route can be reviewed from a desk while the vehicle is still out. Footage can also be backed up to the cloud, and the gateway can be woken briefly when the vehicle is parked and off.
How does GPS video search work?
Every trip is mapped. Click a point on the route and Command surfaces the footage from that moment, or enter an address to pull up every vehicle that passed it. Driving events such as speeding, harsh braking and sharp turns are flagged automatically with the paired video and location.

What about passenger privacy?

Faces can be blurred live or selectively when saving a clip, sharing is role-based with timed, revocable links, and the gateway can automatically manage biometric settings based on where the vehicle is.
